About This Site
This website was created to serve as a reliable database of helpful articles, information, and resources to help cancer patients with their treatment and diagnosis.
Especially in the modern era of artificial intelligence (A.I.) and pseudoscience, finding verified information regarding complex medical decision-making and diseases can be difficult for patients to sort through. Googling (Clauding? ChatGPTing?) one’s diagnosis can often lead to unnecessary angst regarding a treatable condition.
I have several goals for this site and will hopefully be launching these phases over the next several years. I share this as my vision for the site, but cannot guarantee that I will even reach the second phase of building it into what I envision. I am still in practice, and that will remain my main priority before this website.
What I can guarantee is, in its most basic form (Phase 1), this site will provide educational materials, surgical instructions, and resources for patients. The later aspects of the project aspire to build it into an ever-growing repository of humanism contributions to help patients and providers confront the path of cancer treatment outside of the medical treatment plan.
Curate information into three main categories so that patients can learn more about their diagnosis and treatment, and how to deal with the process.

- Humanism articles — articles that cover the “non-medical” aspects of medicine.
- Healthcare practitioner resources — from nurses and medical students to residents and physicians. A place to accumulate information that helps with the humanistic aspects of the practice of medicine, adding to the above.
- Crowdsourced stories, articles, poetry, and artwork
- Build a community of patients and providers, with accessible survivorship groups and multiple contributing authors
I have used Open Evidence medical A.I. tool and Anthropic’s Claude to assist me in building this site. Having said that, patient instructions, education, and articles are either my own words or heavily edited output from Open Evidence, in an effort to make this as accessible as possible. All articles and posts are written without the assistance of A.I. unless otherwise stated.
